WHAT personal data do we collect and WHEN?

We ask you for certain personal information in order to provide you with the products or services you wish to receive. For example, when you make purchases, contact our customer service, receive messages, create an account, participate in our events or competitions, or use our platform.

To provide the Platform features and services you request

For example, if you make a purchase on animally.de or attend an event or promotion, we will use the contact information you give us to communicate with you regarding the purchase, event or promotion. If you use our platform to record your fitness activities or physical characteristics, we will collect this data and store it so that you can view this personal data in the platform. We may use the Activity Data to calculate other information about your activity, such as distance run or calories burned, so that the calculated information can be provided to you as part of the functionality of the Platform.

  • Other third parties as necessary to (i) comply with a governmental request, court order or legal requirement, (ii) prevent illegal use of the Platform or violation of our Platform Terms of Service; (iii) defend against third party claims; and (iv) assist in fraud prevention or investigation (e.g. counterfeiting). 
  • Third party advertising targeters who provide us with personalization and tailored advertising services. We use such services to match aggregate information we have with personally identifiable information in your database to create personalized audiences and tailor advertising to your interests across the internet, including social media, to the extent permitted by applicable law. You can opt out of personalized advertising and custom audiences by making the appropriate settings on our platform.

Some of the data recipients to whom Annimally passes on your personal data may be located in countries other than the country in which your data was originally collected. We employ a variety of measures to ensure that your personal information transferred to these countries is adequately protected in accordance with data protection legislation; this includes signing the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or checking whether the recipient has accepted the Binding Corporate Rules.  

Storage of your personal data: Your personal information will be retained for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy (unless a longer retention period is required by law). In general, this means that we keep your personal data for as long as you keep your Annimally account. For personal data related to product purchases, we keep it longer to comply with legal obligations (such as tax and sales law and for warranty purposes).

You have the right to (i) request access to your personal data; (ii) request an electronic copy of your personal data (portability) and have that information transmitted to another company; (iii) request rectification of your personal data if it is incomplete or inaccurate; or (iv) request erasure or restriction of your personal information in certain circumstances provided for by applicable law. These rights are not unlimited. If we have obtained your consent to the processing of your personal data, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

If you have an Annimally account, you can opt-out of receiving Annimally marketing communications. You can also unsubscribe by changing your email subscriptions by clicking the unsubscribe link or by following the unsubscribe instructions included in the message. COOKIES and pixel tags

Annimally collects information that may include personal data from your browser when you use our platform. We use a variety of methods, including cookies and pixel tags, to collect this information, which may include: (i) your IP address; (ii) the specific cookie identifier, cookie information and information about whether your device has the appropriate software to use certain functions; (iii) the unique device identification number (UDID) and the device type; (iv) the domain, browser type and language used, (v) operating system and system settings; (vi) country and time zone; (vii) previously visited websites; (viii) information about interaction with our platform, such as click behavior, purchases and preferences; and (ix) access times and redirecting URLs.

We use cookies and pixel tags to understand how our customers use our platform and to determine their preferred settings (e.g. country and language settings).
